MAAP LaB Singapore Launch Party

The MAAP LaB Seoul Launch Party back in Aug 2024 was great and certainly a fun experience. On 11 October 2024, we were thankful for the opportunity to be invited once again, to both the wholesale partners and official opening of LaB SGP . The opening has also been seen as the fourth MAAP LaB to be in operation following the footstep of the LaBs in Melbourne, Amsterdam and Seoul.

MAAP LaB, short for "Life Around Bikes," is an inclusive space designed to showcase MAAP’s products and cycling culture. It offers more than just gear, with great coffee, local brews, community events, and group rides, creating a unique experience that enhances the cycling lifestyle for all who visit.

Nestled in the heart of Singapore at Tanjong Pagar, LaB SGP is strategically located at Tanjong Alley among the traditional 19th-century shophouses; with murals that reflect its rich heritage; and hawker stalls from the nearby Maxwell Food Centre which servess timeless local favourites from bygone days.

Just a few streets away is the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, which was incidentally featured on the checkpoint card for "Chinatown" - included in the manifest for the alleycat race we organised during the MAAP Take To The Streets Singapore event back in March 2024.

As we walked into LaB SGP, we were greeted by clean lines, modern architecture, and carefully curated collections displayed with attention to details that MAAP is known for.

While the overall ambiance was great, Sherwin and Zoey could not help but missed the natural lighting they had enjoyed over at LaB Seoul. That added warmth have certainly enhanced the atmosphere when in comparison to LaB Singapore.

The night of the launch party on 11 October was amazing. The entire LaB was buzzing with lively celebration, energy and excitement. Cyclists from all over the APAC region gathered to explore the space, shared their experiences as well as indulging in food and drinks in the vibrant atmosphere.
