It says alot about the colourway of a bike when everyone in the store acknowledged the beauty of a colourway. Such is the case with this Bastion Superleggera in a truly mesmerizing blue!
Performance luxury on two wheels, Bastion is an ultra premium bespoke builder and has been rolling out their own barstem, fork and even crankset to complement their framesets. The Australian company has been known for their engineering on frames involving the usage of 3D titanium printed lugs.

We checked in with Kelvin on his Superleggera build on how has it been, being an owner of a Bastion.
CPS : Hi Kelvin, we understand that this Bastion is a new bike for you. What made you decide to get another bike in addition to what you were riding?
Kelvin : I was looking for a bike that offered cutting-edge design, a perfect fit, and exceptional performance—something that felt truly tailored to my needs. The idea of owning something unique and built specifically for me was also a big draw.
CPS : Why Bastion Cycles?
Kelvin : Bastion Cycles stood out for its innovative engineering and use of advanced materials like titanium and carbon fiber. Their meticulous attention to detail and focus on customization were unmatched. Plus, the craftsmanship and exclusivity appealed to me.
CPS : They are indeed innovative! What is so special about this Bastion?
Kelvin : Beyond its cutting-edge engineering and performance, the bike is uniquely personalized. It features a custom paint job matching the color of my Porsche GT4 and is accented with titanium chrome lugs. These lugs provide a stunning metallic contrast while showcasing the craftsmanship and advanced materials used. This combination of innovation and bespoke detailing makes the bike both a performance powerhouse and a visual masterpiece.
CPS : Great choice. How long did you wait for it?
Kelvin : I waited about 6 months for the Bastion, which felt like a reasonable amount of time considering the level of customization and craftsmanship involved. The wait was definitely worth it to receive a bike that was built specifically for my needs and preferences.
CPS : You got lucky! The lead time could have been longer. What considerations did you have while shopping for the new bike?
Kelvin : I prioritized factors like frame material, geometry, ride quality, and aesthetics. Achieving the perfect fit was also essential for both comfort and performance. Choonwei from
Fitskuul provided exceptional support, not only with the fitting but also in helping me order the Bastion. For components, I relied on the Cycle Project Store, who guided me in selecting the right parts to complement the frame. Their expertise was invaluable in ensuring that every aspect of the bike was perfectly tailored to my needs.
CPS : Thank you for your patronage Kevlin. Any reasons on the components selection for your Bastion?
Kelvin : I chose the Dura-Ace 12-speed Di2 groupset for its flawless electronic shifting and unmatched reliability. The Enve 4.5AR wheels were a natural choice for their aerodynamic efficiency, versatility, and smooth ride quality on various terrains. I paired a THM crank with Carbon TI chainrings for an optimal balance of stiffness, weight savings, and aesthetics, ensuring every pedal stroke feels efficient and precise. Each component was selected to complement the Bastion’s performance and align with my riding style.
CPS : How has the ride experience been?
Kelvin : It has been phenomenal. The bike feels incredibly responsive and smooth, especially on long rides. It is a perfect mix of speed, comfort, and handling that elevates the entire cycling experience.
CPS : Really great to hear that you have been enjoying the bike Kelvin. Once again, thank you for the patronage!
