When it comes to titanium bikes, No.22 is often one of the brands that came up . Known for their ride quality and workmanship, the New York based company has steadily amassed a following and have been churning out great products year after year.

One of the models that the US based company has been known for since their earlier days, the Great Divide is an extremely comfortable endurance frame. There is no compromise on power delivery when needed due its unique choice of tubing used by the company along with its well thought out geometry design.

This Great Divide build is one of the finest, in our opinion, to have come out of our workshop. We had the good fortune to check in with the reserved owner on his titanium build.

CPS : Hello Mr H! Thank you for building such a beautiful No22 with us. What were your thoughts when you were going for a Titanium frame back then?

Mr H : I have been intrigued by Ti bikes for a while due to reading about it durability. When the team at Fitskuul and CPS spoke about the No.22 brand, it got me even more interested. What attracted me to the brand was also what I felt was a no fuss approach as I was diverting away from my usual bike builds and looking for something more subtle.

CPS : You have made a very good choice! Were there other considerations for other Ti brands?

Mr H : Yes, I was also considering Firefly and Passoni back then.

CPS : Ah. This is a unique choice of combining the colours that No22 offers as well as maintaining the subtleness of a titanium bike. What prompted you to this combination?

Mr H : Initially, I wanted to include some aspects of anodisation to add some pop to the frame. But after deliberating, I felt that a simpler approach would suit this build.

CPS : A very good approach in our opinion! The build is very nicely done up given the choice of components. Was there any story behind the selection of them?

Mr H : The components were an easy decision as it is an exact approach to another bike built which I felt very comfortable with.

CPS : It is just a great pairing along with the titanium seatpost by 22. What are your future plans with this timeless build?

Mr H :  This is currently my go to bike. it has been with me to Chiang Mai and will be coming with me to Taiwan at the end of July. Hence the simpler approach and the need for durability. Never a need to worry about paint chipping and scratches etc.

CPS : Indeed, something that is less of a concern especially when it comes to travelling with bike. Are there anything you like to share?

Mr H : Oh yes. While this is my “daily beater” , plans are already on the way for a next builds! Yolo!

Are you thinking of a custom bike?
