Mervyn's Legor Nuiorskiti in Strappato Paintwork

This Nuiorskiti was originally an extra frame done by Legor when he was completing two frame orders of ours back in 2022.

 

Given the chance to purchase the frameset while it was not painted yet, we told Mattia who helms Legor, to paint it in one of his iconic colour design (Strappato) in a colour palette he deemed fit.

 

The outcome was a frameset that was very pleasing to the eyes.

 

 

The owner of this Nuiorskiti chanced upon this Legor when visiting our store and shared it with his riding buddies. The decision to purchase it was largely due to one of his riding buddy sharing with him the riding experience of a Legor Porreca Disc. 

Having never owned a steel bike nor ridden one before, there was alot of excitement towards getting the bike up. With Mattia's background in play, the decision to build the frame up with Italian components were decided.

The frameset was built for Mechanical groupset and the Campagnolo Super Record 12speed was deemed fitting for this beautiful frameset. Functionality and performance must be on par with such a sublime frameset.

While the frameset was in the midst of being transacted, the owner pondered over the sizing of this Nuiorskiti where it will be a good fit. We partnered up with Fitskuul who we usually work with for our custom builds and after the fitting session, the numbers were perfect!

A setback seatpost was required and the Deda Superleggero came to mind. 

 

Legor frameset comes with a Chris King headset and without trying to go overboard, we selected a black coloured variant such that the Strappato colourway will stand out. 

The owner had a spare Bora WTO wheelset lying around and it was perfect for the build since the groupset was earlier decided to be Campagnolo. 

As we wanted the Strappato colourway to stand out in terms of aesthetic, we chose a full black Continental GP5000 TL to go onto the wheelset.

Each Legor's frame has a logo on the seat tube which also has the numbers 2008 on it. Unbeknownst to many, 2008 was the year that Mattia officially started frame building.

The challenge for Campagnolo UT cranks for frames with T47 bottom bracket shell today is the lack of many choices of compatible bottom bracket. For something reliable as well as value for money option, we turned to C-Bear as they have an option for Campagnolo UT cranks with reliable ceramic bearings with incredible price point.

We are extremely satisfied with the way this Legor turned out and equally pleased that Mervyn enjoyed the end result of this beauty.
