An evening with FIN Crafted Goods

Last Friday, 19 June, we threw open ours doors to celebrate something we have been quietly working on for months . The official launch of our collaboration with FIN Crafted Goods.

Friends, customers and familiar faces filled the shop throughout the evening to get a first look at the collection, catch up over drinks and donuts and hear the story behind how it all came together.

Meet FIN Crafted Goods

Founded by Fahmy and Erliana, FIN Crafted Goods is built around the Japanese philosophy of mottainai ; the belief that nothing should go to waste. Through thoughtfully reconstructed vintage garments, they celebrate the character of materials already lived in, giving each piece a second life instead of letting it end up in landfill. Rather than hiding signs of age, every repair, fade and imperfection becomes part of the story.

It's an approach that values craftsmanship, longevity and thoughtful design over fast consumption, qualities that resonate with how we think about cycling. Whether it's a custom-built bicycle or a reconstructed garment, the goal is the same: to create something made to be used, appreciated and kept for years to come.

The First Conversation

Having followed FIN Crafted Goods for some time, Sherwin and Dalbert finally had the opportunity to meet Fahmy and Erliana in person at Culture Cartel 2025. With our booths just around the corner from each other, conversations came naturally throughout the weekend. 

What began as a casual "we should do something together" slowly evolved into an actual project.

Behind the Collection

From the beginning, we wanted the collection to feel authentic to both brands.

We were especially drawn to their collaboration with Porsche. We loved how they celebrated automotive heritage through rebuilt vintage workwear, hand-finished details and thoughtfully crafted apparel. The collection felt timeless rather than overtly branded, using subtle graphics and careful craftsmanship to tell a story while letting the garments speak for themselves.

Rather than creating something solely for the bike, we wanted the collection to reflect the lifestyle that surrounds cycling. At Cycle Project Store, we always believed that cycling extends beyond the ride itself, it's about the places you go, the people you meet and the moments in between. 

The Heart of the Evening

As the evening settled in, Sherwin shared a few words about how the collaboration came together and why partnering with FIN Crafted Goods felt like such a natural fit, before handing the spotlight back to Fahmy.

Fahmy walked everyone through the collection, explaining the inspiration behind the designs, the process of reconstructing vintage garments, and the craftsmanship that defines FIN's work. It was a rare opportunity to hear directly from Fahmy and Erliana, gaining a deeper appreciation for the thought and intention behind every piece.

After the speech, guests spent the rest of the night exploring the collection, trying on pieces, chatting with the FIN team and catching up with friends both old and new.

The Collection

At the heart of the collection is a reconstructed vintage workwear jacket. Beyond being one of FIN Crafted Goods' signature pieces, it felt like a natural fit for us too. Workwear is part of our everyday at Cycle Project Store, whether we are wrenching on bikes in the workshop or welcoming customers into the store, workwear has always been part of our uniform. It felt only natural to reinterpret that familiar staple through the collaboration.

Alongside the jacket are everyday essentials like tote bags, musette bags and a coin pouch, pieces designed to move effortlessly between leisurely rides and everyday life.

The shop was exactly what we hope it can be ; more than just a place to buy bikes and apparel, but a space where people can connect over shared interests, discover thoughtful products and spend time with one another in the community.
