Ramzi's Standert Erdgechoss Moss Def

Ramzi had been eyeing a Standert frame for a while till the Erdgechoss caught his eye when it was released in an alluring green colourway named Moss Def by the German company.

With bikepacking and travelling in mind, Ramzi thought the Erdgechoss is a perfect choice with features like carbon fork cargo mounts, top tube bag mounts, downtube bottle cage mounts, and generous tyre clearance.

What was an additional alluring factor was that the frameset was made of Stainless Steel.

The decision for a 650b wheelset was decided to help with the standover height as well as a wider tyre for future bikepacking trip.  The HED G series came to mind for a sturdy alloy wheelset. 

Having laced many different alloy rims, BUILT strong recommends the HED G alloy rims and hub ultimately came down to the reliable DT Swiss 240.

With touring in mind, Ramzi decided on the GRX 2x groupset instead of the 1x. This gives him a wider range of ratio that will aid him on all terrains.

Ramzi had waited a year for this project to be completed, largely due to the stocks for the Erdgechoss in Moss Def and we certainly hope the wait was well worth it!
