Low// Bicycles MK CX Frameset
Established in 2010 by Andrew Low, Low Bicycles is a small-scale manufacturer of some of the finest hand-crafted aluminum bicycle frames out there. All the frames are manufactured by hand in San Francisco, California, U.S.A.
While sharing many similarities with the MK Road Series, the Cross features a Cyclocross specific tubeset and geometry, designed for racing varied and challenging terrain. Low// Bicycles went with a stout rear triangle for race ready stiffness, but with smaller downtube to balance out the feel.
Compared to the MKIII Gravel frame, a slightly lower stack height allows for a more aggressive body position better suited for racing. Also, higher bottom bracket allows for more maneuverability and clearance in tightly winding cyclocross courses, while a slightly slacker head tube angle allows for stability and control in short, steep climbs and descents.
